From the founding of our agency in 2008 to our latest developments, find out all about the history of Asea and all the steps that have made our team the preferred partner of your sustainable procurement journey.

2008
Creation of the agency by Annie SOREL, ESCP graduate, former Chief Procurement Officer and Exco member in major companies.
Since its creation, Asea’s motto has been to serve the procurement profession and to advance sustainable procurement in France and internationally.

2010
Start of involvement in the Observatoire des Achats Responsables (ObsAR), the main French sustainable procurement association, of which Annie SOREL remains vice-president.

2013-2017
- 2013-2017: active participation in the development of the ISO 20400 standard, namely: Jacques SCHRAMM (CEO of A2 Consulting and Chairman of the standard’s international development committee), Jean-Louis TOURNEUX (Chairman of the Australian delegation) and Annie SOREL (Member of the French delegation).
- Since 2017: member of the international steering committee of ISO20400.org, a not-for- profit association offering a web platform to raise awareness on the standard and bringing together sustainable procurement experts from 15+ countries
- Since 2020: roll-out of the ISO 20400 survey, in partnership with ObsAR and AFNOR, tracking the development of sustainable procurement practices aligned with ISO 20400 in France.

2015
Accreditation as a RFAR label assessor.

2020
Acquisition by A2 Consulting, with the aim of supporting ASEA’s qualitative growth, particularly in the areas of low carbon procurement and Due Diligence / supply chain risk management.

2023
First RFAR accredited assessor to obtain the RFAR certification.

2023-2025
Exclusive partnership with the SKAO foundation to roll out the Carbon Performance Ladder in France.
